American Village will host a two-day Independence Day celebration on July 3rd and 4th, featuring historical reenactments, educational programs, and performances from across the state. The event is part of the ongoing countdown to America’s 250th birthday—one experience at a time.

Sugarcane Jane, otherwise known as Anthony Crawford and Savana Lee from Loxley, Alabama — have been America’s sweethearts from Alabama’s Gulf Coast for over a decade. Between them, they have amassed a rich musical heritage working with such notables as Neil Young, Steve Winwood, and Dwight Yoakam. The music they make together is simple and direct, rooted in country and rock, and anchored by their sweet and soulful harmonies. Their latest album crosses boundaries of country, pop, and even alt rock with Anthony Crawford’s electric guitar riffs. It’s been nearly four years since the couple released any music so for their loyal followers, this is highly anticipated. Lolly Lee is not just a singer; she's a multi-instrumentalist musical icon from Birmingham, Alabama. Her journey, filled with ups and downs, resonates with many, making her a beacon of inspiration for aspiring artists. At 63 years young, after countless shows, bands, kids, marriage, loss, rebirth, Lolly proves to be a survivor, not just of herself but of her dreams. Her soul. Her destiny. With every note she sings, Lolly Lee continues to etch her legacy in the annals of Birmingham's rich musical history and beyond. Lolly recruited longtime friend and fellow Birminghamian Anthony Crawford of Sugarcane Jane to produce her debut album. The Amos Studio is located on the campus of Pensacola State College, across from the Pensacola International Airport, on the corner of College Blvd. and 9th Ave. You will find the studio entrance on the west end of the Kugelman Center for Telecommunications with ample parking for events.
